OUR PASTOR & FIRST LADY

S.W. Jackson, PASTOR

A native of Denver, Colorado, Steven W. Jackson is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Abundant Grace Church of El Paso, Texas, Inc. He spent his adolescent years in Tyler, Texas before returning back to Denver where he would meet his future wife and queen, Barbara.

Pastor Jackson passionately believes in his God-inspired vision to equip and empower disciples for Christ-like living and service. He is a teacher, preacher, mentor, and retired veteran.

He is the loving husband of First Lady Barbara Jackson (33 yrs) as well as a father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Barbara O. Jackson, First Lady

Barbara O. Jackson is a native of Beloit, Wisconsin and later moved to Denver, Colorado at the age of fifteen. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in November 1983. She has served in various capacities throughout her Christian journey. Some of her experiences include Usher, Hospitality, Youth and Adult Choir Director, and Praise Team Leader just to name a few.

She is the daughter of Willie Wade Johnson and Callie Watkins, and has four sisters and four brothers, three of whom are gone home to be with the Lord. She is the wife of Pastor Steven Jackson, Mother of two, Leeodis Davis 2 and Nicole Davis Jones (with several engrafted children), Grandmother of nine, and Great Grandmother of four. She currently serves as the Vice President and 1st Lady of Abundant Grace Church with other responsibilities too numerous to name.

for maturity in ministry in the church, and life mission in the world.

We are a Christ centered, Spirit-led, multicultural church, numbering in the thousands, impacting lives by

the Grace, Faith, and Love of God.

AGC Church Histroy

On May 10, 2010 the first of several meetings we're held in the home of our Founder and Pastor, Steven W. Jackson to launch the Vision of Abundant Grace Church which God had birthed in him. There were five people in attendance at the initial meeting: Pastor, 1st Lady Barbara O. Jackson, Mother Callie Watkins, Elder Patricia Forbes, and Elder Rodwell Forbes Jr. Our nine member Board of Directors were also formed during this time. Prior to our first church service, Deacon Tommy Jackson, Elder Jeff Cherry, and Pastor Eric Hallback Sr. played key roles in advising Pastor Jackson about church formation and how to obtain our 501(c)3 status. Our first church service was conducted on July 4, 2010 at Hurschel Atwine Elementary School with a host of family, friends, and members. Within one month, our first outreach was birthed where we donated over 30 book bags and supplies to the school. A few months later we donated over 25 turkeys and food baskets for Thanksgiving and over 100 gift stockings during Christmas. Additionally, our first baptism was conducted at the home and pool of Dr. Sadie and Bro Dion. At the end of our first year in ministry, The Lord opened the door for us to relocate to a store front on the corner of Montana and Yarbrough for 5 years, and then one year at the Hawthorn Suites. In the onset of our 7th year in ministry, God opened the door for us to purchase our new facility which we now humbly dedicate back unto the Lord, to God be the Glory!
